⋆。‧˚ʚ🐯ɞ˚‧。⋆ Hello, Longden Families.

🦃🧡 Keep reading to catch up on what's been happening at Longden, but first, I want to take a moment to wish you a truly Happy Thanksgiving, filled with warmth, joy, and cherished moments with those you love. See you back December 1!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Coffee with the Principal! We know your schedules are busy, so we truly appreciate you spending part of your morning with us. You always come through with the best questions and suggestions.
A special thank-you to our guest, Dr. Annie Song, for sharing her fantastic presentation, Living in Two Languages. We highly recommend reviewing it.

🗽🦅 Our first graders rocked Wednesday’s Spirit Assembly! They did an awesome job highlighting our Character Trait of the Month, Citizenship. They performed a patriotic song in honor of our Veterans, including our very own Ms. Janet Bocanegra, Ms. Melissa Arellano, and Mr. Jason Ganiron. ❤️🤍💙 Students from every grade were also recognized for outstanding citizenship with special dog tags and roaring cheers! Click here to view the entire assembly.

💚🧪🎉 What do the PTA, slime, Mr. Bender and Mr. Ying have in common? They teamed up for an epic celebration and it was a total blast. Students got to slime Mr. Bender & Mr. Ying during Wednesday’s spirit assembly! Why, you might ask? Thanks to our amazing families and students, we smashed our $40,000 fundraising goal. Part of the reward was watching our principal and coach get covered in slime!
Thank you to our PTA, our families, and our students for making this year’s fundraiser such a huge success.

🦃🧡 ASB Spreads the Love
Our awesome ASB students sorted through food donations, and with your help, we were able to assist over 15 Longden families. Thank you to everyone who donated! Your kindness will fill both hearts and tummies this season. Way to go, Tigers!

📝 We’ve officially wrapped up parent-teacher conferences! Thank you to all the families who carved out time to meet with your child’s teacher. Your partnership means everything, and we truly enjoy working together to support our students.

Food Allergies

Food Allergies

We need your support regarding the sharing of food or drinks.
The rise in food allergies among children means that even the tiniest exposure to allergens could be potentially severe or life-threatening. This year, we've seen an increase in students with various food allergies. Ensuring a safe environment for all students is more crucial than ever.
Here's how you can help make Longden safer for all students:
  • Please remind your child never to share their food and drinks with other students.
  • Please remind your child never to eat or drink anything offered to them by others.
  • Please remind your child to wash their hands before and after eating.
Your support for children with allergies is extremely valuable. Together, we can make a real difference and ensure the safety and well-being of all our students.
