Dear Parents,

As our library grows, we accrue books from many sources. The majority of the books purchased come from recommended sources such as the American Library Journal or other accredited organizations. We try to read as many books as possible, but there is not enough time to read them all. Our students are at different maturity levels and reading abilities. To continue to maintain a diverse and well-represented Media Center, we need to be able to meet the needs of all students. We would like to enlist your help in being aware of what your child is reading. The majority of the novels in our collection are grade level appropriate; however, there is a small percentage that fall into the category of books for mature readers. Some of those books are in our collection are tagged with a round orange sticker. Those books have been identified with some kind of mature content. We appreciate all parents who take an active role in their child’s independent reading and thank you for your involvement.
